The palm fruit digester is used to mash and heat sterilized palm fruit before the pressing stage. Proper digestion is essential for maximizing oil extraction efficiency — it breaks down the fruit tissue and releases the oil from the cell walls. The specialized tank design promotes optimal oil clustering through controlled temperature and agitation.

Working Principle:

Crushed palm fruits are mixed in the tank with controlled temperature and agitation to promote oil droplet clustering. After threshing, the palm fruit falls into the digester, where rotating stirrer arms mash the fruit into a homogenous pulp. Simultaneously, steam is injected through the jacket to heat the pulp to 90-100°C, which reduces oil viscosity and improves pressability. The digested mash is then fed directly into the screw press for oil extraction.
