The palm oil decanter is a horizontal centrifuge designed for the three-phase separation of palm oil sludge into oil, water, and solids. It plays a critical role in improving overall oil recovery and reducing the organic load in palm oil mill effluent.

Working Principle:

The palm oil sludge from the clarification tank or underflow is fed into the rotating bowl of the decanter centrifuge. The high-speed rotation generates strong centrifugal forces that separate the mixture into three phases based on density differences. The lighter oil phase forms an inner layer and is discharged through the oil outlet, the heavier water phase forms a middle layer and exits through the water outlet, while the heaviest solid particles are conveyed by the scroll to the solids discharge end. The recovered oil is returned to the clarification process, significantly increasing overall mill extraction yield.
