The palm oil clarification tank is a critical post-pressing equipment that purifies crude palm oil (CPO) by separating it from water, sludge, and solid impurities. Designed as a settling tank with controlled temperature system, it ensures effective solids separation before further processing or storage. The clarified oil is then ready for drying and storage.

Working Principle:

Crude palm oil flows into the tank where heavier impurities settle at the bottom while clarified oil is drawn from the top. The crude palm oil from the press contains water, fiber, and sludge. It first passes through a vibrating screen to remove large solids, then enters the clarification tank where gravity separates the oil from water and sludge. The oil is further purified through a centrifugal separator, achieving purity above 95%. The clarified oil is then sent to the vacuum drying system.
