Product Details
The EFB shredder and press is an essential auxiliary system for palm oil mills looking to recycle empty fruit bunches (EFB) after the threshing process. This combined shredding and pressing system reduces EFB volume significantly while recovering residual oil that would otherwise be lost.
Key Features:
- Hammer mill shredder reduces EFB to uniform fiber size for efficient pressing
- Screw press extracts residual oil from shredded EFB, achieving less than 3% residual oil rate
- Manganese steel and alloy steel wear parts for extended service life
- Capacities from 2 to 20 tons per hour to match various mill throughput
- Shredded and pressed EFB fibers are ideal for boiler fuel, composting, or pelletizing
Working Principle:
Empty fruit bunches from the thresher are fed into the hammer mill shredder, where rotating hammers tear and shred the fibrous material into small, uniform pieces. The shredded EFB is then conveyed into the screw press, which applies mechanical pressure to squeeze out residual oil and water. The pressed oil is collected and returned to the clarification process, while the dewatered EFB fiber is discharged for use as biomass fuel or compost.
